HairCare for Curly Hair

Step #1: Part your hair into four sections 

The first step in caring for and maintaining your hair extensions in order to achieve a defined curl pattern is to part your hair into four sections so it's easier to work with and maintain each section of hair. This process will be important in ensuring you are able to provide the same maintenance and care across your entire head. Please ensure to never detangle curly hair while dry.

Step #2: Use a water and conditioner mix

For your water and conditioner mix, we recommend Aussie conditioner as your go-to when defining your Curls. Any other curly girl leave in/curl creams can work. This mixture is going to be vital in helping you achieve those luscious, defined bouncy curls. With each section, take the water and conditioner mix and spray a good amount into your hair extensions until each extension has been thoroughly covered with the mixture. Note: Do not over saturate the hair to where it begins to feel weighed down, but do ensure you've spray enough of the water and conditioner mixture on your hair to achieve the defined curl pattern. 

Step #3: Comb through your curls with a Denman Brush

The Denman Brush in this process is going to be your BFF! This will be the step that you will begin combing through each of the sections, ensuring you are defining your wave pattern with the brush. As you are brushing your sections, make sure you also scrunch each section in an upward motion, to help lock in the moisture and ultimate definition. 

Step #4: Airdry or use a Diffuser 

The last step in maintaining and defining your curls will be diffusing. We recommend beginning by diffusing each of the four sections and then doing a final diffuse with all of the sections together to ensure you are achieving your desired curl pattern. Or simply letting it air dry.

Nighttime Haircare Routine:
Before going to bed, we recommend putting your hair into a high ponytail, bun or braid it into large sections, placing a silk bonnet over your tresses. This will help to maintain the curl  pattern and reduce frizz while sleeping.  

Once you are ready to style your hair for the day remove your ponytail, bun or braids and follow the above haircare maintenance to ensure your extensions are top tier for the day.
